Update for February 2026 newsletter from Dronfield SNT, Shop theft updates. Dronfield SNT is working closely with local shops to help reduce incidents of shop theft and keep our area welcoming for everyone. We’re supporting stores with practical steps to deter unwanted behaviour, while also teaming up with partner agencies such as South Yorkshire Police to take appropriate action when needed. Recently, this joint approach has resulted in several community orders granted alongside other legal outcomes in court.
Community Speedwatch Schemes; WE NEED YOU Community Speed Watch is a local Police initiative that gives trained volunteers the opportunity to play an active role in keeping our roads safer. Speeding is a concern for many residents—not only because of the risk of serious injury or death, but also due to the noise and pollution it brings to our neighbourhoods. By working together, the police and the community can help identify and address speeding hotspots. This partnership approach allows us to speak directly with drivers, encourage safer behaviour, and make a real difference to the quality of life for everyone who lives, works, or travels in the area.
